Why I Choose to Mediate

Mr. Mattson's education in mediation began in Chicago while attending the National Association of Realtors certification program on mediations. This course was led by law professors from Northwestern and Duke Universities and is recognized as one of the most comprehensive mediation program offered in the country. After earning his certification, Mr. Mattson realized that mediation was his calling. Soon after returning to Florida, he worked aggressively to further his education, earning his certification in County, Circuit Civil and Family Mediations. He is one of two mediators in the county to hold all three certifications.

Assisting people through the process of their own case resolution is one of the most rewarding activities he has experienced in our legal system.  His experience preparing for and participating as an expert in, trials has given him an inside view of the time and costs, both financial and emotional, involved in presenting a case to a Judge and/or Jury. Fortunately, many of the cases he has prepared have been successfully resolved with less effort, stress and expense through mediation.
